Manchester United are ready to open the bidding for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba this week.
The Italian side insist they do not have to sell the 23-year-old, who arrived from Old Trafford on a free transfer in 2012, or Manchester City target Leonardo Bonucci.
United will take a steady approach knowing it will take close to £106million to make Juventus waver.
Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, is also understood to be due 20 per cent as part of a clause in the France international's last contract negotiation.
The Italians are interested in United's Memphis Depay and makeweights could yet come into the equation.
United have PSG's Blaise Matuidi and Chelsea's Nemanja Matic as alternative options. Matic also has an offer from Juventus.
